Why handmade rugs cost less here
Most rug stores buy from importers who buy from wholesalers. Our 99 kilims and area rugs come straight from the weavers, and the ones we stock in bulk go here at outlet prices. Every rug is woven by hand from wool, so no two are the same, and each one is photographed flat from both ends so you see its true colors before you buy.
Questions
Are these rugs used?
No. Almost every rug here is new and never used, handmade from wool. A few vintage pieces are marked vintage on their page. "Thrift" is about the price, not the condition.
Why are the prices so low?
These rugs come straight from the weavers with no wholesaler in between, and we keep a lot of them in stock. Rugs we have many of go to the outlet at the lowest price we can offer.
Is shipping free?
Yes, shipping is free to the contiguous U.S. Rugs ship folded in a padded bag, usually within 1 to 2 business days.
Can I return a rug?
Yes. You have 30 days to return a rug in the condition it arrived.
What is a kilim?
A kilim is a flatweave rug: woven flat on the loom, with no pile. It is thin, reversible, easy to clean and great for kitchens, entries and layering.
